Does anyone know how to install a new serial on a working copy of Windows 7 - I get notified that my software is not genuine but cannot reenter the serial

Jul 17, 2015  IIRC, you don't authorise the plugin with a serial; you download the full version from the website, once you've registered your products there using the product key you received.

You will be able to enter a new key when you try to activate Windows.

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Go to System.
3. Click Activate Windows. (In case it is not activated) / Click Change Product Key on the lower half (In case it was previously activated).
4. It will ask for a new Serial key.

One easy method is to change the key via the command prompt:

1. Click the Start orb
2. Type cmd and press Shift+Ctrl+Enter to open an elevated command prompt.
3. Type in slmgr.vbs -ipkfollowed by your new key
4. Type slmgr.vbs -ato to re-activate if necessary.

During Product Download:

The Serial Number and Product Key are displayed as you downloadthe product from the Free Software tab on the EducationCommunity site, before you choose your download method.

An email with this information is also sent to the email addressyou specified. If you lose the email, you can retrieve theSerial Number and Product Key again by again completing the productinformation on the download page.

From the Download Email

After you specify which software to download, you receive anemail message containing your Serial Number and Product Key.

Note: This email is sent to the emailaddress used to register for the Education Community. If youhaven't received it within a few hours, check your spam folder. Ifnecessary, add autodesk.education.community@autodesk.com to youremail program's safe senders list.

In Autodesk Account

After your software has been activated, you can also find theSerial Number by signing in to your Autodesk Account using theAutodesk ID you used to register with Education.
